Kimberly "Kim" Broadnax is the visionary Owner of KB Consultants Group, KB Agency, and Founder and CEO of Pennington Gap Inc. Before any title, she is first and foremost a Woman of God—guided by faith, anchored in purpose, and devoted to service. She is the proud mother of four and the cherished Nana to a granddaughter, Giavani Simone, who holds her entire heart.
For more than twenty years, Kim Broadnax has dedicated her life to advocating for individuals with developmental disabilities, working across multiple states alongside agencies and families. Along the way, she witnessed both the beauty of the work and the painful realities of neglect and abuse within the system. Refusing to remain silent, she chose action—building agencies rooted not in profit, but in integrity, protection, and compassion.
At its core, her work is not a business—it is a family. Her organizations are intentionally small and personal, embracing staff, clients, and families as part of an extended household built on trust, dignity, and genuine care.
Pennington Gap Inc. holds deep personal meaning. Named after the street where she once lived, it represents a pivotal season in which many young people became “bonus children” entrusted to her care. That season sparked a lifelong passion for serving youth in need. Today, she partners with schools and communities to provide counseling, mentorship, life skills, social development, food, shelter, and whatever support is necessary. She believes continuity of care is essential—and that this work is not simply a job, but a calling.
Her heart for youth runs deep. God has placed many children in her life—some biological, many not, yet all undeniably hers. She is committed to pushing them beyond perceived limits, exposing them to new possibilities, and helping them discover their God-given greatness. She believes every child is unique, purposeful, and wonderfully made.
Her life’s work is a reflection of her faith:
“For You formed my inward parts; You knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
—Psalm 139:13–14
