Our Mission
Our mission at Pennington Gap is to provide accessible education and resources that promote mental health and wellness within our community. We are dedicated to helping at-risk youth and families build resilience, stability, and hope.
Our Story
Pennington Gap has a rich history behind its name. In fact, Pennington Gap is the name of a street where I once lived. During that period of my life, I inherited and mentored many youths who became like bonus children to me. To this day, I continue to have a deep passion for helping youths in need, and I actively engage with as many schools as possible to offer our services. These services include counseling, mentorship, daily living skills, social interaction, food and shelter—whatever the need may be, I find a way to help. Continuity of care is imperative. This work is not just a job for me; it is a way to utilize the gifts God has bestowed upon me.
