Siraj Mismar serves as the Assistant Director of Pennington Gap. Siraj has always believed that true leadership comes from the heart; from listening, understanding, and helping others find hope in the places they need it most. Originally from Jordan, Siraj came to the United States to pursue his education and a deeper understanding of how people from all walks of life can come together to make a difference. Siraj's background in International Studies opened his eyes to the beauty of cultural exchange and the importance of building bridges between communities. Pennington Gap was born from that same belief; that we all have a role to play in shaping a better, kinder world. Through our work, he strives to create spaces where people feel seen, valued, and inspired to take action. At the heart of it all, he is guided by faith, compassion, and the hope that small acts of good can create lasting change. To Siraj, this isn't just an organization but a reflection of what’s possible when people choose to care.
